GERMANY VS BRAZIL U-17 WORLD CUP QUARTER FINAL

The Quarter Final between Brazil and Germany will remain one of the most thrilling game in the U-17 World Cup, where the team scoring first and maintaining that lead in almost the entire game ended on the losing side. Three-time champion, Brazil won the match 2-1 against European heavyweight Germany in Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata, where more than 66000 people cheered for their favourite team and scripted a memorable victory for them.
Germany scored their first and only goal of the match in the 21st minute through penalty which was shot by Jann-Fiete Arp. In the first half of the match, the Brazilians didn't look to play up to the mark but things changed when they came to play the second half and Weverson was brought in as substitution for Candido.
A wave of attack was carried out by Weverson in the second half, the pressure piled up by successive attacks ultimately resulted in Weverson scoring the equalizer in the 71st minute providing much sought relief to the Brazilian side. But what changed the look of the match completely was Paulinho's goal in the 77th minute. Within a span of 6 minutes the Brazilians scored their second goal. They celebrated the goal with the fans in the gallery which the fans would remember for a long time. The goal in the 77th minute ensured that they are through to the Semi Final where they will meet England on 25th October.
After the second goal by Brazil, Germany tried everything they could but to no avail and the scoreboard remained 2-1 when the final whistle was blown by match referee Jair Marrufo. The Brazilian coach Amadeu looked happy and everyone in the dugout celebrated the win with great joy as at one time it seemed that their chance of winning is very low.

HAPPY DIWALI

Happy Diwali to all of you. On this auspicious occasion, Joy, Prosperity and happiness Illuminate you life and home.

       This Diwali :
Don't burn crackers, burn your egos, they don't even pollute the environment.
Don't buy Present, Be Present.
Don't wrap gifts, wrap someone in a hug.
Don't send gifts, send peace.
Don't shop for food, donate food.
Don't give sweets, give love.
Don't see the lights, be light.

Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, celebrated Diwali in his usual manner with Jawans of Indian Army BSF in Gurez Valley near Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir. He celebrates Diwali every year with the Army. We all should give respect to the real heros of our Country, the Indian Army, who tirelessly protect us throughout the year no matter what the circumstance.
In the end, celebrate Diwali peacefully with your near and dear ones. Stay Safe, Stay Happy.

WORLD FOOD DAY

Every year on 16th October, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nation celebrates World Food Day to commemorate the founding of the organisation, which was founded in 1945. The main objective to celebrate this day is to promote worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger. Every year a theme is selected, this year's theme is "Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development". Theme is being selected since 1981. Many organisation across the globe celebrate this day to spread awareness about food security.
This day is celebrated to make progress to achieve the goal of #zerohunger by 2030. Despite so much effort in spreading #zerohunger awareness, it's a bad statistics that India is ranked 100th out of 119 country in Global Hunger Index (GHI). India scored 31.4 score out of 100 and are placed in high end of "serious" category. More than 20% of Indian Children under the age of five have lower height in relation to their height and about 33% are too short in relation to their age. India, being a developing country, has developed a lot in many areas but this is something which has to improve. Despite, India being world's second largest food producer it also has second highest under nourished population in the world.
Reaching #zerohunger is a difficult task but not impossible and can be achieved with proper planning. Out of the 129 countries monitored by FAO, 72 countries have already achieved the target of halving the proportion of people who suffer from hunger in 2015. This shows that achieving #zerohunger by 2030 is very much possible. FAO is tirelessly working in rural areas of 130 countries to achieve the goal of #zerohunger.
We all should celebrate World Hunger Day and spread the message of #zerohunger. We should try not to waste our food as someone is striving for it and also if possible try to make sure that no one in your surrounding sleep hungry.

FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP : HOST ENDED THEIR CAMPAIGN

India ended their FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign with huge disappointment after getting thrashed by Ghana 0-4. It was not an end which India would have wanted given the opportunity they got by playing as a host nation. The team played with their full potential but could survive the tough competition of World Cup. Inexperience to play big tournament like World Cup was clearly visible. In their first game, they lost to USA 0-3 then in the second game they lost 1-2 to Colombia. Although they showed a lot more maturity and skill against Colombia and also India registered their first goal in World Cup, the team could not cross the line and ended up on the losing side. Today, a better performance was expected from the host but they couldn't deliver it and lost to Ghana 0-4, their worst performance in the tournament.
Though India is now out of the tournament but their are a lot of positive which they will take. It was the first time India got to play FIFA U-17 World Cup. The goal which Jeakson Thounaojam scored against Colombia in the 82nd minute was the first goal scored by India in the history of Indian Football in the World Cup.
It is still early days for the Indian Football and this tournament will give Indian team more confident and exposure to International scenario which will help them to improve and become a better team for the coming World Cups. The three matches that India played in the tournament will help them to prepare for the future and will enable them to fulfill the shortcomings in the team.
It was a dream of 1.25 Billion people in India to see their country play football World Cup, that dream came true after so many years of wait in this tournament It is not the end of India's World Cup campaign, it is just the beginning of a new era of Indian Football. Wishing the Indian Team best of luck for the future, I end my post. Thank You all for reading, Stay Blessed Stay Safe.

100 DAYS OF GST

Today 10th October marked 100 days of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India. The transition was fairly smooth with a few exceptions and some industry getting hit hard, while changes like this is bound to bring disruption but the long term benefit might overshadow short term hassles.
The GST has brought a whole lot of changes in the Indian Society where a lot of people are non-tax compliant. But this has changed ever since GST is implemented. People are now trying to bring their business under tax compliance and this has resulted in a huge increase in Income Tax Return this year, where the growth rate of Income Tax Return this year is 24.7% compared to 9.9% in the previous year. As on 05.08.2017, 2.82 crore people filed Income Tax Return as against 2.26 crore previous year. There has been a huge crackdown on black money too, the IT department has detected unaccounted income of Rs. 9334 crore as on 28.02.2017.
The primary aim of the Government, by implementing GST, was to widen the tax base and bring more and more people under tax bracket. In the 100 days of GST, this objective of the Central Government seemed to be fulfiled to a good extent. With the increase in tax base, the Government's revenue also seem to improve in the days to come. Although 40% people have filled nil return in the first month, as businesses were hit hard in the initial days, the revenue is expected to up as things are getting settled now. Everyday many people are registering under GST and so return and revenue both will go up in days to come.
Demonetisation on 8th November 2016, then "Operation Clean Money" and then the implementation of GST on 1st July 2017 has changed the look of Indian economy completely. India has now become a better place to do business. People are getting tax compliant and the IT department too is carrying out huge crackdown on black money which is forcing more people to come under tax bracket and is discouraging people to earn black money.
Things are getting digitalised and almost 99% of tax queries are now addressed online. People need to understand that such huge change in taxation system will create disruption. Everyone should adjust themselves to the new system instead of complaining. The Government is trying to reduce the stress of common man but such widespread change needs time to get settled and used to.

TENSION ESCALATING BETWEEN US AND NORTH KOREA

US President Donald Trump on Saturday said "only one thing will work" in regards to North Korea. This clearly shows the state of tension that have built up between the two countries in recent time. Let's have a look at the timeline between two countries since President Trump took over :

FEBRUARY 11, 2017
North Korea fired a ballistic missile in the Sea of Japan. It was the first such fire since US President Trump took over. It was not the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) but a medium or intermediate range of missile. The Trump administration was expecting this provocation.

MARCH 6, 2017
North Korea launched four Missiles in the sea of Japan, the fifth Missile failed to launch. After flying about 1000km, three of them fell into Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Days later the US, Japan and South Korea sent high tech missile defense ships in the place where missile has landed. To that North Korea reacted by testing rocket engine and missile later in the month.

APRIL 6, 2017
Trump launches an attack on Syria with 59 Tomahawk Missile in a show of strength to North Korea. He ordered missile strike on Syria during his meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi.

APRIL 13, 2017
The US dropped the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in Afghanistan to target ISIS. The Bomb which was dropped was GBU-43, Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB) which became famous by the name 'Mother Of All Bomb (MOAB)'. This was planned by US to continue their show of military strength.
Later during the annual parade in Pyongyang, North Korea's capital, demonstrated the Country's military strength, it's new missile and weapons.

APRIL 20, 2017
The members of UN Security Council demanded that North Korea should immediately stop Country's missile launch and should comply fully with the resolution of the Security Council.

MAY 14, 2017
North Korea again launched a missile attack and this time it fell more close to Russia than Japan. It was the first strike since South Korea President Moon took over the office.

JUNE 2, 2017
The UN decides to take action against North Korea for its continuous missile strikes by introducing additional sanctions that would target the nuclear and missile programs of North Korea. But it hardly had any effect on North Korea, it again fired four anti ship missiles into the sea few days later.

JULY 4, 2017
When the entire US was celebrating July 4, North Korea successfully test fired its first Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) that could reach anywhere in the world. After successful ICBM test, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said it was a "gift" to "American Bastards" on their Independence Day.

JULY 28, 2017
North Korea again tested an ICBM that appeared capable of hitting the west coast of US. In 24 days, it was the second time North Korea tested the ICBM. It was more advanced than the one tested on 4th July.

AUGUST 28, 2017
North Korea again launched a missile over Japan. The missile flew over the northern Japanese Island of Hokkaido. It was the most serious and grave threat to Japan as it passed over their airspace. President Trump said that he would unleash "fire and fury" if it continue to threaten US.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2017
North Korea tested it's most powerful missile escalating tension between the two countries. A 6.3 magnitude registered at testing site indicating that Pyongyang detonated a hydrogen bomb with a 100 kiloton yield. It would make the device seven times stronger than the bomb dropped by America in Hiroshima in 1945.

There were numerous events, apart from the above mentioned, which has heightened the tension between US and North Korea. The tension has escalated higher ever since September 3 hydrogen bomb test. Both the country is trying to show their military might which is leading to increasing tension between the two.
